Sequim Family Giveaway Session

Late last year, I met with one of my regular clients for her family session at the Dungeness Spit. As we walked to find the perfect light, Nika mentioned that she was looking to start a retreat business on the Olympic Peninsula to bring women in our area together to create a stronger community. I was so excited for her and offered to help in any way that I could to get her toward her goal. During the last year, she’s already held 2 retreats and has several more on the way. (Check out her website here! https://www.riseandflourish.net/ ) I’ve been able to photograph her retreats and attend parts of them and I’m so impressed with her and with the women who’ve put themselves out there with a desire to make connections.

What does that have to do with this session? When Nika started her Facebook page, Port Angeles Photography sponsored a giveaway, and this lovely family won! It was so fun to come back to the same place where Nika and I first talked about her business to do the giveaway session. We were originally going to shoot at the Dungeness River but it was running so high with all of the sunshine and hot weather we’ve had this last week. It must have been meant to be!

Also, it’s obvious how adorable this family is, but I just have to gush a bit about it. These kiddos were perfect little spunky angels for this shoot. Every shot I set up, they made it better. They were sweet as could be and their energy was so fun. Seriously my favorite type of people to photograph!!!!
